Project Design Manager 2004 – 2009

Provided key oversight for Tri-Met’s $18 million federally funded light rail transportation project, featuring track installation, 4,350 ft. pre-cast concrete bridge, overhead catenary system (OCS), passenger stations, power sub-stations, retrofit of structures and installation of underground / overhead utilities. Evaluated, assessed and recorded construction oversight issues and coordinated with Resident Engineers, consultants, prime/sub-contractors and agency representatives to address and mitigate them.

• Led successful completion of this high-profile project from take-off to post-completion.

• Identified and highlighted environmental, safety, and construction issues and concerns to Resident Engineers and Tri-Met officials and worked to mitigate problems.

Project Design Manager 1999 – 2001

Project Design Manager for the City’s wastewater (sanitary/storm/combined-sewer overflow) collection system with a primary emphasis on sanitary pipeline, storm surface run-off collection, overflow, and other related infrastructure projects. Performed professional engineering design, construction and project management. Prepared construction contract bid documents, technical reports, feasibility studies, project workflow processes, and many other engineering and management documents required to effectively and efficiently manage these projects.
