Goal oriented technical professional with over 20 years in the telecommunications and technology industries with mid-level managerial and project management experience, focused primarily where telephone and radio communications meet IT and networking technologies.

Over the last 10 years I've developed internal web based reporting tools, database/data warehouse systems, and network monitoring tools using Perl/CGI/HTML/Javascript. I have managed nationwide rollouts and upgrades of networked and customer facing systems, including integration, consolidation, and replacement programs, system design and development, as well as protocol analysis and testing of both networked systems and wireless devices.

In the field I have skillfully represented various employers globally, providing training, sytem installation and repair. As a strong team player, focused on productivity, I am able to exceed customer expectations, even those who are litigious.

I possess exemplary communication skills, very strong office productivity skills (MS-Office: Word, Excel, Project, Visio etc.), and am proficient with PERL, Unix Shell scripting, Procomm Aspect scripting, HTML/CGI, and JavaScript as well as some programming environments used primarily in hobby endeavors (JAL, LSL, NQC etc.). I have been working with Unix and Windows computers since 1988, have provided desktop support, system management, and for the last 5 years I've also performed Unix system administration.

+++ USA Mobility / Arch Wireless (PageNet, Inc. prior to the merger of same) — Senior Systems Engineer (1999-2009)

+ Working in the Network Planning and Systems Design groups, performed a wide range of functions, including project management, website development, UNIX system administration, shell and PERL scripting as well as creating programs to manage and maintain RFnetwork site configurations, and application level network management.

+ Managed the Scout Electromedia “Modo” project, including development of unique recievers and network topology that created one of the first location based wireless data services.

+ Managed the Arch Message Center project including development and a very high level of integration of web-based e-mail services with the Arch Two-way messaging service, similar to the T-Mobile SideKick services.

+ Managed the development of an internal web site with more than 8GB of dynamic data, network management reporting tools, real-time network statistics and information.

+ Responsible for maintaining more than 45,000 lines of code written in PERL, PERL/CGI, HTML, SQL and shell script. running on Oracle, MySQL, Solaris, and variants of Linux, used to upgrade and manage RF site system configuration and software as well as collect real-time statistics from the network systems, collect, manipulate, and display a wide variety of network configurations, statistics, and reports (including financial reports). These systems performed a central role in collating coherent network configuration data for all other IT systems including Network Monitoring (Monolith and BMC), Trouble Ticketing (Remedy), and Site Management.

Create and maintain marketing, sales, and user technical documentation for Unix-based wireless messaging systems. This included installation and maintenance of both hardware and software.

+ Field service of paging and wireless messaging systems, and provided customer training and technical support.

+ Improved logistical and quality control management for Unix based messaging systems, reducing product roll-out costs, increased test efficiency, and accelerated customer acceptance.

+ Developed remote diagnostic and upgrade procedures, significantly reducing test and implementation costs.

+ Was instrumental in developing the manufacturing process for ReFLEX(TM) transmitters, receivers, and network controller systems.
