Summer 2007: Took part in William and Mary’s Beijing Summer Program at Tsinghua University, studied Chinese language and culture
Fall 2007: Studied Chinese at Tsinghua University as part of William and Mary’s Study Abroad Program and took courses in political science at Beijing University for transfer credit.
Summer 2008: Studied Chinese language and culture in The Ohio State University Chinese Flagship Program’s Qingdao Summer Program
Summer 2009- Participated in the second part of The Ohio State University Chinese Flagship’s Qingdao Summer Program. Studied Chinese language and culture and volunteered at a local nursing home once a week.
