Thesis Title: Synthesis and Physico – Chemical Studies of Novel Crosslinked Polymer Networks

Abstract:

A novel approach was made to synthesize cross linked polyurethanes of superior mechanical and thermal properties. Polyurethanes are long chain molecules in which different chemical fragments are linked through urethane linkage. A variety of vinyl terminated telechelic polymers have seen prepared with different polyols & isocyanates and reacted with unsaturated monomers to get AB crosslinked polymers. These novel ABCPs exhibit high damping over a broad temperature which finds application in controlling vibration and noise, one of the important applications.
