2007- 2008

Roofer, Anderson Roofing and Sheet Metal Work

Worked in all phases of Carlyle commercial rubber and standing seam metal roofing. Daily tasks included tearing off old materials, transporting rock and rolls of rubber roofing, measuring and cutting metal pans to specifications and installing metal and rubber roofing. Periodically was assigned as safety monitor to ensure all employees were operating in safe manor while working on the roof and using specialized equipment.

2006-2007

Electrician’s Helper/Mechanic, Power Concepts

Using NEC code worked under a mechanic learning methods for wiring commercial, residential and low voltage electric. After several months, worked as a mechanic, training an electrician’s helper to do both residential and low voltage electric. Other responsibilities included trouble shooting errors on piece work houses that were improperly wired or did not pass inspection. As a low voltage technician wired smart houses, central vacuum, home theater and home security systems.

2005- 2006

Laborer, Outdoor Maintenance/Designer Coatings and Curbing

Prepared, laid out and executed designs that transformed regular concrete into decorated surfaces. Created realistic looking brick, stone wood, etc… using Spray Crete products and hand troweling techniques. Provided vehicle maintenance, rubber roofing, electrical, plumbing, framing and drywall work as needed for Outdoor Maintenance, the parent company.

2003-2005

Ferguson’s Enterprises, Forklift driver

Certified to use double length pallet jacks, reach truck, dock stocker and fork lifts to prepare plumbing supplies to be loaded for distribution to other facilities. Loaded and unloaded trucks and worked in the pipe yard, removing stacks of unsecured copper pipes from high racks and preparing for distribution. Was one of few authorized to drive the tractor trailers to move newly loaded or unloaded trucks.

1999-2003

National Wildlife Federation, Picker/Forklift driver

Picked fragile products from various warehouse locations and readied them for shipping to both individual customers and retail outlet locations. Used pallet jacks and fork lifts to get heavy or highly placed products down in preparation for pickers to ship.
