Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop valid project coding structures and work packages for the scope of work.
• Design or assist in the design of a Work Breakdown Structure that is suitable for capturing all cost components
• Review each new job and spend sufficient time to permit careful analysis of the plans and specifications.
• Consult with Subcontractors, Vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates, and resolve issues.
• Compute cost factors and preparing estimates, organize, and schedule work; prepare bids; selecting Vendors or Subcontractors; and determining cost effectiveness.
• Estimate projects for budget purposes without a full set of plans for our clients.
• Investigate conditions at the jobsite prior to bid to understand and evaluate: site accessibility, surface and underground conditions, and any conditions that would affect construction methods and costs.
• Manage own workload, so that all estimates are completed on time and all deadlines are met.
• Provide submittals, Shop Drawings, Procedures, and Manuals.
• Analyze completed projects, comparing the estimated costs to actual costs, and determining reasons for any discrepancies.

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the AIA general and subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, construction means, methods and materials.
• Thorough knowledge and experience in conflict resolution, construction claims, and litigation.
• Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures.
• Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office Suite programs, Quest Estimating software, & Suretrak Scheduling software.
