SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Managed consolidation of 6000 servers for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). HP’s $290M contract for DLA data center consolidation called for three new Tier 3 data centers. Managed a team of 60 in design and implementation of complete project. Improved efficiencies and saved $2.5M through network redesign.

Redesigned security for HPUX operating system. New DLA operating systems were at risk due to vulnerabilities in the STIG configuration. Worked with DoD Computer Emergency Response Team to implement a new Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) process. Sharply increased DLA operating system security.

Standardized global warranty portfolio for HPSS. Company needed global warranty portfolio to service international clients. Successfully developed standards across many countries and cultures by building coalitions among operations, legal and top management. Won HP’s MVP & Worldwide Best Customer Experience awards.

Implemented new IT countermeasures for Commonwealth of Virginia. Major security breach had comprised entire State network. Led a team of 30 professionals in identifying vulnerabilities, exploits and configuration errors. Successfully developed and implemented a robust defense against unauthorized entry, misuse, fraud and attacks.

Introduced Solution Management Process at NGIS. Company had few standards in solution management. Led a team of process engineers and managers to implement a Solution Management Process to enhance quality, consistency and cost controls. Introduced new, automated approach to save an estimated $2M first year.

Saved $7M on service catalog/chargeback system. Large NGIS project was troubled. Appointed as Deputy Program Manager over 40 team members. Reorganized to successfully implement a streamlined peer-to-peer process for a chargeback service catalog linking 150 state agencies. Reduced costs and cut processing time 60%.

CAREER HISTORY

Director of IT Solutions, Northrop Grumman Information Systems, 2006-2010. Responsible for developing an enterprise solution organization in support of government and commercial contracts. Lead teams of up to 40 professionals and made contributions in Professional Services, Managed Services and business development.

Director of Operations, Information Innovators, Inc. 2005-2006. Professional IT services firm. Led team of up to 60 staff in management of enterprise architecture, relocation and consolidation of USDOT operating facilities.

Director, Client Manager, Hewlett-Packard Support Services, 2001-2005. Managed various Federal, State & local government contracts as well as commercial projects. Major wins included $250M, five- year USFDA contract and a $290M IT & Managed Services agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency.
