WORK EXPERIENCE

Aerospace Engineer NASA Goddard Space Flight Center 2004-2010

Electromechanical Systems Branch

James Webb Space Telescope: Managed the environmental testing. Wrote and executed test plans, work order authorizations, and procedures for ground support equipment and flight assemblies. Delivered critical flight procedures, thermal cycling procedures, three-dimensional modeling, mock-up and flight cabling/wiring assemblies for microshutter arrays.

Solar Dynamic Observatory: Jitter tested High Gain Antenna System using a Kistler table and BioWare.

Sample Analysis at Mars: Mars Rover: Designed Martian simulated environment to qualify flight filters. Managed effort, including schedule, design requirements, project timelines, procurement and budget. Served as lead parts and assembly drawing designer.

Thermal Infrared Sensor: Supported the bearing only life test, which incorporated a thermal gradient vacuum environment. Designed and created vacuum compatible motor.

Interstellar Boundary Explorer: Provided motor characterization and designed procedure for motor performance and motor shaft to pinion weld strength.

Electromechanical Systems Branch (C0-OP

Designed and created cryogenic mechanism used in translation and rotation for the James Webb Space Telescope ground testing dewar.

Materials Branch: Designed and conducted a stress analysis experiments on aerospace composites and adhesives.

Propulsion Branch: Managed design project micro thrusters to use on Nano satellites. Assisted in design and implementation of a performance test system to refine micro-thrusters.
