BP MC-252 Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Response Organization

Field Accounting Supervisor Pascagoula, MS

Environmental Field Observer Grand Isle, LA Shoreline Cleanup

As Field Accounting Supervisor, I reviewed contractor daily billing invoices for personnel, hours, equipment, supplies and services utilized for BP oil spill cleanup and verified/documented through personnel sign-in logs, equipment list and site visits, noting and reporting exceptions on dailies before signing and passing on to BP Incident Command Chief for signatures and to BP Auditors for further investigation.

As an Environmental Field Observer, utilizing a digital camera, the handheld Trimble Nomad data collector with photo, mapping, internet and GPS features, I observed, collected data points, surveyed, mapped and documented beach cleanup operations on Grand Terre 1 and Grand Terre 2 islands located off of Grand Isle, LA. I traveled to the islands daily to document which zones were being worked, how many feet of shoreline was worked, what equipment and cleanup methods were being used, and that all Shoreline Treatment Recommendations and Best Management Practices were being followed. I uploaded data, photos and GPS points from the Trimble Nomad and a daily report via e-mail each night to BP on each day’s activities.
