Prior to the closure of our Windsor Facility, I was asked to transfer to the Tilbury Plant to assist in the following:
• Assist and join a Continuous Improvement team for different products throughout the facility.
• Create and implement changes to molding cells, robots and assembly equipment to reduce cycle time, downtime and increase equipment availability.
• Lead the transfer of molding equipment from our Windsor Facility to our Tilbury Plant. This included preparing the machines and tooling to electrically interface properly. I also lead the install, debug, programming and teaching of robots.
• Assist in the day to day molding, robot and assembly equipment issues.
2006-2007
Program Leader/Controls Engineer

In addition to my duties as a controls engineer, I accepted the position of Manufacturing Program Leader to lead the launch of a lost core cell which included the following duties:
• Work closely with customer on the status of the engineering and manufacturing issues of the launch.
• Lead meetings with the manufacturing team as to our progress and solve any issues that arose during the launch.
• Plan and coordinate work to the cell for a three shift rotation on a daily and weekly basis.
• Install and re-wire interfaces between multiple equipment.
• Program and teach multiple robots to perform various duties with cycle time in mind.
• Perform changes to devices or processes to eliminate potential customer complaints.
• Create and update all documentation and provide visual documentation for the Cell Tech to help understand the process flow, robot programs and setup sheets for the equipment.
• Ensure all equipment and wiring meets the Ontario ESA standards.
• Coordinate and ensure all equipment, guarding, robot safety gates and programming pass a pre-safety PSR through an outside company.
