BACKGROUND

My background and experience encompass a broad spectrum of talents and skills which are relevant to many fields of design and project management including intimate custom private projects to large scale commercial land planning and development.

With a past experience in golf course and landscape design, development and construction have provided great insight into the efficiencies of managing design and construction projects to provide the most economically prudent and successful outcomes in a timely manner.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Golf Course Architect / Landscape Architect

Denis Griffiths and Associates, Inc., Braselton, Georgia

* Responsibilities include all aspects of the design development from site analysis to preliminary design and cost estimation to construction document preparation to construction administration.

* Lead meetings with project consultants, government agencies and contractors on behalf of the client and the client’s best interests in achieving the best product possible.

* Assisted project consultants in various types of permitting approvals including environmental, sediment and erosion control and water consumption as well as conservation.

* Developed a vast and intimate knowledge of landscape and golf construction methods and details while creating timeless and successful landscapes which enhance and amplify the uniqueness of each site.

* Personally generated construction drawings including grading and drainage plans, irrigation plans, details green drawings, details and construction specifications for over twenty-five golf course projects in the U.S., Japan and Scotland.

* Responsible for construction cost estimation and proposals for eight design-build golf course projects in Georgia.

* Contract agreement preparation including monthly pay requests, project administration documentation and construction progress budget versus actual cost tracking during the project.

* Construction administration and contractor progress meetings to monitor and direct the design implementation while directing artistic and creative adjustments in the field.

* Responsible for preparing construction drawings and bid documents for numerous new golf course design projects.
