I was the Historian for 2 years throughout H.S. and was required to record our events and functions. We wrote business plans and competed nationwide in competitions. I am currently a senior at the University of TX at Dallas pursuing my B.S. in Neuroscience for clinical research. I participated in planning experiments as well as evaluating test results. I monitored equipment performance and maintenance schedules. In addition, I was responsible for maintaining biohazard and radiation safety standards, and ensuring proper handling of potentially hazardous chemical and biological agents. In addition to the lab work, I recorded, calculated, and analyzed data, and prepared reports. I worked closely with a team of researchers and learned the value of good lab practice. While volunteering for MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, I successfully applied my knowledge of the medical sciences to my patients and was able to grow and learn from my experience there. I work well as a team member, am very reliable and organized, and willing to learn.
