1989- Defense Language Institute, Presidio of Monterey, CA. Studied 6 months of reading, writing and speaking the Russian language. Did not complete course. Opted to return to Broadcasting.

1986 – Graduate of Broadcast Journalism Training at the Defense Information School, Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana. Studied all aspects of radio/television production and public affairs for the U.S. Army.
