Activities included:

Application Packaging

• The project includes creating packages in the form of msi\exe\wsf for various platforms such as XP 32 bit and 64 bit, W2K3 server, W2K3 TS and so on.

• Wise Package Studio 7.0 to package the application.

• The package is checked for functionality with the administrator and normal user.

• Regmon & Filemon are used to solve the problems with executing the application for a normal user.

• Maintained several Citrix Servers for packaging and testing.

• Worked with Windows registries and file system, worked with ODBC Data sources registries to connect to database.

• Running the package through conflict management and fixing all the conflicts.

• VBScript, Custom Actions, Wsh and WMI scripts are used to give any permission to folder, handling registry issues.

• Support during building of machine in ITF (Integrated Test Facility) lab and during deployment of the builds to production.

64 bit build Release

• As a process champion, along with few others from US team was responsible to make sure that the packages that are delivered are going through process.

• As a senior member of the team, was responsible for peer reviewing the packages and making sure that the standards are incorporated in the packages.

• We worked as a team and defined the end to end process to adopt LEAN. LEAN was adapted mainly to reduce the rework that was happening during the deployment and integrated testing and also to reduce the cycle time required for a package to reach end user.
