Client : First Data Merchant Systems, USA.

Description : First data uses the submitted details to carry out the transactions with the associated. The

transactions are stored. FDMS acts as a gateway for the transactions that come from merchants and

as well as banks. Submission could be classified as paperless transaction, paper transaction and

key automated data entry. Main thing involved are Paperless Transaction System, Funding,

Interchange, Chargeback , Automated Clearance Housing (ACH). Various card types are handled in

this process, major cards involved are Master Card,Visa, Amex, Wex, Exxon, BP. Here main thing

would be to load the data which comes from merchant in flatfile to mainframe, mainframe transmits

the file to unix server (connect direct/Network Data Mover(NDM) is the medium used for

transmittiing) . Data gets loaded through sql loader scripts. Users then gets to verify the information

and work them out, then there are various automated oracle jobs which runs at certain time,

produces flat file and sent them to Mainframe. Then it goes to various areas like bank and other

Client : First Data Merchant Systems, USA.

Description : Solution providing all processing required to support stored value cards. Value link enables clients to

efficiently implement their own customized electronic payment and promotion programs using stored

value cards. Stored value allows cash or other information of value to be placed and stored on a

centralized database. This value can be quickly and accurately accessed using a plastic magnetic

strip card via a common POS terminal. It can be used in place of paper based products such as

cash, gift certificates, merchandise credits, and loyalty cards. Typically, merchants are only required

to add some minimal programming changes to their retail POS terminal software and they can begin

to accept stored value cards. By sending a transaction to valuelink, the merchants can perform

functions such as increasing the card’s balance, recording a sale, which decreases the balance of an

account, and retrieving the card’s balance. No new dedicated card reading equipment or expensive

bulk and warehousing.

Unified Accounting System (UAS) - The Unified Accounting System (UAS) is a strategic global

project that will enhance the current financial and accounting reporting capabilities.

Unified Warehouse System (UWS) .

Data from all KWE and agent offices worldwide is fed into the CSS system.

CSS also provides the capability for each customer to schedule reports based on their own standard

Description : It is billing system developed by EDS,Electronic Data Systems,UK branch for Xerox Document

company . In this system datas are read from IBM flat files and put into database. This system is

divided into 5 levels namely Entity , Common Business unit, Sales Team, Sales Territory and

Machine. Bill is prepared at all the levels . Billing is carried out in Phased and Billed modes. In case

of phased mode, bills are prepared every month. In case of Billed mode, bills are prepared

quarterly. Revenues obtained are rolled up at all levels. In billed rollup we can see the summation

of reveues for a specified period. In case of phased rollup breakup of revenues are available for

each period. Technical environment for this project is Oracle, SQL, PLSQL, Forms, Reports.

will take care ICA(Inter Carrier Accounting), produce TAP in tape format,providing accounting

interface, keeping tack of Customer payments using Collection actions etc. User can setup deposit

supplied criteria, provides comparative statement. It generates Proposals, Purchase Orders and
