• Worked as Quality Control Chemist at Ethicare Pharmaceuticals. Ltd., Gujarat, India. Oct 2009- June 2010

Performed testing of raw material and finished products by using various analytical techniques and instruments like UV-vis, Colorimeter, Acid Base titrations, Nonaqueous titrations etc. The testing criteria was based on the established SOP of the company. Documenting the results and making sure that all the procedures followed the cGMP guidelines and in house SOP.

• Practical Internship in the Production Department at Unicure Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd., Baroda, Gujarat, India. May-July 2009 Performed manufacturing of tablets, emulsions, suspensions, lotions etc and carried out Disintegration and Dissoulution tests for tablets and their packaging. Thorough with the use of Viscometer, pH meter, Tablet Hardness tester etc.

LABORATORY SKILLS

• Compounded various pharmaceutical dosage forms like suspensions, emulsions, tablets, ointments, syrups and lotions, suppositories, etc. in Industrial Pharmacy lab.

Research Experience

• Assisted Dr Kumar, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Fairleigh Dickinson University, in random screening and evaluation of inhibitors of clinically important enzyme targets.

• Analyzing the binding affinities of ligands from NCI library with different enzymes using SPD Viewer, Autodock tools and PyRx programme. Also designing ligands based on the lead structures using Chemsketch programme and docking them with MAO B to analyze the type of interactions and bonding affinities which can help to develop new ligands as potent MAO B inhibitors.
