Project :Deutsche Bank Mortgages Replatforming (More) Project

Client: Deutsche Bank

Duration, Size: 28 months (October 2009 – Feb 2012)

Scope:

This project is the first renovation project to the existing Construction Financing Processing System BKS/PHD of Deutsche Bank The existing system consisted of also other several legacy subsystems like Kredit Manager, Abacus, and Partner System, which interacted with each other. Manual work was also involved using the Access Database. IBM’s solution was to develop a single JEE based solution that would cater to all there business needs and able to scale up to newer requirements.

The entire project is broken into several releases, each release phasing out portions of the existing legacy systems. The first release deals with migrating and phasing out the Access System and automating its working using Online screens. This in turn required data from PHD and KM to be synched up. The second release is planned to sunset the PHD subsystem. The entire solution however would continue using the third Party Software Uniquare which is used by Deutsche Bank.

The second release is planned to sunset the PHD subsystem. The entire solution however would continue using the third Party Software Uniquare which is used by Deutsche Bank.

Unique Project characteristics:

* There were several challenges at the begining of projects due to external dependency of several existing system of deutsche bank.

* Database communication through a thrid party vendor API of uniquare is challenging.

* Requirement analysis was challenging due to language translation problem

* The project team was large (more than 30 people) and diverse. The project team consisted of Members from

IBM India Team, IBM Germany Team and also assisted by members from third party software vendor

Uniquare.

* The project team was divided into several Functional Groups.

*The project’s success was very important as contracts for the following phases depended on its success.

Role:

•Performed Usecase designer and Developer role

•Worked in different to handle subsequent tasks in my assigned role

•Involved in usecase low level design from high level design.

Transformed of Bussiness Object Model to actual business objects which are relevant to the use case. Created new classes and implemented the basic flow of code from the sequence diagram of the use case.

Developed different business layers(facade, businees functional objects, data aceess layer, service layer) of the use case

•Developed unit test cases for the use case.

•Fixed defects of different deployment stage and maintained SLA.

•Review design and development artefacts are to ensure quality in the products being developed

Maintained coding guidlines to develop a high quality deliverable.Applied documentation, code cleanup and standrad format to maintain a high quality code.

Analysis of requirements and making estimations based on complexities of objects are being handled efficiently

Configured and worked with CTE batch framework which is an asset of IBM. Using this framework developed batch Jobs which call usecase function to huge amount of data load to Database

Shared knowledge about CTE mainly with Deployment Team and Test Team that helped them to install CTE in different domain and understand the CTE for better testing.

•Handled performance related issues of batch use cases.

Project: AHB LMS PROJECT

Client: Alhilal Bank

Duration, Size: 5 months (May 2009 – October 2009)

Scope:

The project is the renovation project which basically update the existing IDT/ESB/MDM/LMS system of Alhilal bank.

IDT: The Integrated Desktop is one of the pillars of this solution. The concept is to consolidate the appli-cations used by AlHilal staff in branches, call center and other areas into a desktop portal to allow them to deal with customers in a more efficient and effective manner. As a part of the deployment of the IDT reference model, it will host both existing bank applications as well as new screens that pro-vide a comprehensive view of the customer. The IDT is built on the Lotus Expeditor Client which is a Rich Client Platform and incorporates additional functionality specifically tailored for the Banking in-dustry.

ESB:The ESB is a key part of the existing Al Hilal integration architecture. It is shown in this solution ar-chitecture diagram since our solution will be deploying new services on the ESB to integrate our new solution components (Portal, MDM, and ECM) as well as existing Al Hilal systems (T24,HPS) that are providing realtime data to the customer view portlets.

MDM:A foundational component of our solution is the IBM MDM Server which will be providing a ‘golden’ copy of the customer data for Al Hilal retail banking customers. In this phase, we are implementing only the Party domain of MDM and mastering customer demographic data as well as party relation-ships and their account relationships. The MDM server will be providing all of the non-transactional data to the screens being deployed on IDT.

LMS:In the current project rollout, we are deploying a simplified leads capture system that is housed in a database that while co-located with the MDM database (separate schema within the database), it is not maintained by the MDM server.

Functionality for capturing and viewing leads and prospects will be through portlets hosted by IDT. The integration with the database will be handled directly from the ESB.

Role: •Contributed in Low level design of Lead Management System.

•Participated in Database Design.

•Involved in genearation of physical database table from DDL.

Delivered Lead management System which has six webservices which are basically invoked from ESB layer and responsible for CRUD operation like:

createLead

ManageLead

CloaseLead

updateLead

createReferenceData

manageReferenceData
