Project Description:

The goal of Motorola S&OP is to optimize operating Profit and cash flow. This includes Demand Management, Supply Management and Demand and Supply Balancing. As a part of this it is necessary to get a global view of the S&OP data. Currently data from different systems is gathered manually using different Tools and consolidated to create the S&OP Deck.

The Deck is created by pulling data using multiple tools and templates with the original data being sourced from different systems (Shipment, Order, Sales and Inventory sourced from the regional ERPs, Demand Data from the Global Demand and Supply Planning Database (GDSP)).

Deck Automation by the S&OP Reporting Project will enhance this process by allowing for near real time monitoring of demand and supply and the alignment important key performance indicators to financial plans. Deck Automation will support GMs in driving behavioral changes in sales & supply chain to aid better synchronization.

Automation of data feeds to Motorola’s EDW systems will greatly reduce the errors and cycle time and bring about efficiency in the process. This will also create a single source of data for demand planners, S&OP GTM representatives, procurement, sourcing, and S&OP leads.

With the benefit of a centralized Automated reporting through OBIEE, accurate, timely and global reports can be generated to aid decision making.

Role and Responsibilities:

1) Technical Analyst & Developer:

 Gathering and understanding and documenting the report requirements from the user through daily calls and continuous follow-ups.

 Creating LLD documents for implementation.

 Develop ETL mappings to extract data from the Oracle database/flat files and load it into the Oracle database.

 Error validation of the data moving from Oracle database/flat file to the Oracle database.

 Test the mappings and check the quality of the deliverables.

 Identify the Entities and fields that are needed for the Deck Automation Reports
