Windows Azure

I am very passionate about Windows Azure, I understand the development and deployment challenges of cloud computing. I have worked in the AppFabric product team to develop Business Rules capabilities. I am one of the 2 people in India who passed Windows Azure certification while it was still in Beta.

C#, .NET Framework

I have been using .NET technologies, specifically C# since its inception. I have developed WCF SOAP/REST Services, .NET libraries and UI applications using C#.

Silverlight

I developed a Silverlight portal for AppFabric-Rules management. This portal communicates to an OData Service, and implements MVVM design pattern.

SQL Server

I have used SQL Server my whole career in one way or other. I have been involved in designing and tuning databases, programming, debugging and optimizing TSQL and writing stored procedures etc.

BizTalk Server

Project Summary

• Windows Azure AppFabric Integration (Feb 2009 – Present)

Working to develop the Azure AppFabric Integration platform. This includes adding Business Rules capability which enables greater agility and visibility to the cloud applications, and adding message processing, transformation capabilities in Service Bus.

• Microsoft BizTalk Server (Sept 2004 – Feb 2009)

I helped ship 4 releases of BizTalk Server. In BizTalk Server 2006, I worked on the Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) feature. In BizTalk Server 2006 R2, native EDI & AS2 functionality was added, which was enhanced in BizTalk Server 2009, and was further improved with better Trading Partner Management in BizTalk Server 2010. I worked in the team in different capacities between Developer and Dev. Lead.

• TSYS ProphIT (June 2003 – Aug 2004)

TSYS is the largest transaction processor in United States. We developed a web-based BPM system, TSYS ProphIT, for their data centers, which was productized and sold to few retailers and financial companies.

As a Technical Architect I was involved in Architecting and Designing the web based business process management system for the TSYS call centers. TSYS ProphIT first had a pilot run in TSYS call centers, and was later productized to run call centers on their retail and financial services clients.

• Citigroup-Imaging Technologies (Apr 2000 – May 2003)

Citigroup Imaging Technologies group enables different business units with imaging and forms processing capabilities. We automated different processes including new credit card applications, communication with business partner (VISA/Master) etc., using EMC Enterprise BPM suite. I worked as a Senior Developer/Architect in the team, responsible for designing, implementing and mentoring.

• Newgen OmniDocs/OmniExtract/Office (Jan 1997 - Mar 2000)

Newgen is pioneer in Document Management and BPM products. I started my career with Newgen, working on the Newgen Office product, which aims for providing paperless office. BPM was reinvented in the OmniDocs product which provides intuitive document management. OmniExtract is a Forms processing system that includes different electronic data capture interfaces including OCR. I worked on these three products in different capacity ranging from developer to Dev. lead.
