As Senior Construction Engineer for 565-mega watt coal-fired power plant, performed site engineering for construction, procurement, estimates, construction supervision, including reviewing grading plans, developing estimates, writing work packages for excavation, formwork, rebar and 80,000 cy of concrete placement; monitoring excavation/placement of 2,000,000 cy of soil and rock; and solving geotechnical problems. Saved $2,000,000 through initiation and development of on-site rock crushing operation, eliminating need to purchase outside stone. Maximized off-site lay down areas, reducing acreage and time required to move materials from lay down to project site.
