FORD MOTOR CO. – Wood Haven Stamping - Launch Die Engineer.

• Launched the 2009 F-150 and Mustang Closer and Structural Panels.

• Supervised and tried out Dies and assembly weld cells for Outer and Structural Body in White panels both Class “A” and structural.

• Troubleshot any and all line related problems. Recommended any corrections or changes.

• Followed up Engineering and Die changes. Tried out and verified.

• Supervised the Tool and Die Shop when Supervisors were away.

GENERAL MOTORS CORP. – Warren, MI - Supplier Development Engineer.

• Developed cost savings on components and assemblies. Saved GM $250,000 in annual piece cost.

• Consulted and worked with three Electronics Suppliers to develop and institute cost savings.

• Set up and chaired three cost savings work shops with Electronic Suppliers resulting in savings in excess of $1,000,000.

FLEX N GATE ROYAL OAK - Royal Oak, MI Dec. 2004 to July 2006 Manufacturer of medium to large Metal Stampings and Assemblies. - Engineering Manager.

• Managed all Engineering functions in the plant. Including processing, estimating, quoting, tool purchasing and follow up, launching new programs, continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Maintenance and Tool Room.

• Instrumental with the plant utilizing Kaizen, Kanban and 5S systems. Incorporated the systems into the production current and new tooling.

• Worked with all departments for TS16949 certification. (Received award upon first audit).

• Reports were Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering, Maintenance and Tool and Die.

• Implemented tooling and machinery PM system.

• Reorganized capital equipment throughout the plant for efficiency and manpower improvements.

Manufacturer of “Class A” Metal Stampings and Assemblies - Program Manager.

• Managed two automotive “Body-In White” programs from concept through launch.

• Launched programs on time and under budget.

• Maintained customer liaison on all draw and feasibility issues, product development. production processing, program status and all program management issues as well as sales issues.

• Performed all draw die binder and addendum developments, managed all engineering changes.

• Followed prototype assembly tooling and dies.

• Integrated and organized the procurement and follow-up of a $126 Million tooling program saving $12 Million.

• Maintained liaison with the customer and suppliers regarding pricing, delivery, processing, draw die developments, feasibility, engineering changes and program status.

• Organized and managed estimating, quoting and tool follow-up department. Negotiated and approved all piece costs and tooling costs.
