SUMMARY

I am a Chemical engineer with several years experience as an efficiency/commissioning engineer with OPG (formerly Ontario Hydro) and as an engineering instructor with OPG and Haward Technologies ME. I am currently seeking an engineering position locally in the Lower Mainland area of BC with my current skills, abilities and industrial experience.

Skills

Proficient as a efficiency/commissioning engineer in the start-up of large power & desalination plants. Valued employee to both Canadian & US engineering companies.
Excellent technical instructor experience backed by an Instructional Techniques training course with OPG and a workshop locally with BCWWA for instructor training (2012), as well as a year of engineering instructor experience in the Middle East.
Significant work experience in the engineering discipline at 4 coal-fired thermal generating plants and a US Government desalination plant.
Employed for several years as a Water Treatment Manager for a large Canadian specialty chemical company (Dubois Chemicals Ltd.).

Assisted with start-up & commissioning activities of a USBR 73MGPD desalination plant.
Provided technical expertise in sulphuric acid storage & handling, design of new anhydrous ammonia storage, handling & tank farm areas.
Attended weekly production meetings & submitted monthly reports to BRSC staff & PB Senior V.P. , Director, Facilities, Consulting & O&M Services.
Commissioned on-site ozone generating system, recommended process design modifications to lime-handling areas, new polymeric feed system to clarifiers, bird-alarm system (pigeons infestation) and new procedures for safe unloading of sulphuric acid & anhydrous ammonia used at this plant.
