Smith & Associates
Dear Smith & Associates:
I would like to express my interest in the Nurse Practitioner/Cardiology position listed on the hospital website in hopes that I will be given an interview for this position. I’ve always wanted to work in cardiology as a nurse practitioner as I currently enjoy my cardiac position as a RN.
I’m a recent Family Nurse Practitioner graduate from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and am in the process of re-locating to the Detroit area to be closer to family. Emory University has great educational resources and I’ve taken maximum advantage of the opportunities provided by the University. The clinical skills I’ve learned have trained me extensively to provide the type of quality care that is necessary for our patients.
My previous work experience has given me the necessary foundation to be an excellent provider in this clinical setting. While working in Emory Healthcare’s busy Medical ICU, I’ve seen a vast variety of illness and have learned a thorough understanding of those conditions and how they may ultimately affect patients. This has made me a patient advocate as well as a proponent of preventative healthcare. I believe these qualities along with my knowledge of holistic patient care will make me an asset for this facility.
I am dedicated to continual learning as partially evidenced by maintaining a 3.89 GPA during the course of my graduate studies. I also find it necessary to be active on a larger scale to affect things such as policy making and quality improvement. For this involvement, I’m an active member of Sigma Theta Tau Honors Society.
Thank you for considering me for this position. I look forward to meeting with you and discussing the opportunity at greater length. I can be reached at the phone number or email address above.
Sincerely yours,
Chad Robinson
