To meet business needs I resumed the supervisor role for Coordinate Measurement and was asked to assume oversight of Metrology. As such, I have the responsibilities as outlined below in addition to managing in excess of 5000 active IM&TE for two facilities.
Metrology also manages equipment loaned to us by our customers as well as IM&TE we loan to our supply chain.
Quality Engineer September 2005 to April 2006
This position assists in the review of contract requirements and establishing methods and procedures for inspecting and evaluating the quality of products and/or necessary controls to assure compliance. Establish requirements for First Article Inspection of hardware to drawing specifications.
I am an active member of the Material Review Board for preliminary review and approval of dispositions and also participate in Change Control Boards. Analyze process data for trends and issues and follow through with effective corrective action. Lead and/or participate with cross functional teams to solve and/or prevent issues. Support internal/external process and quality systems audits.
Quality Supervisor - Coordinate Measurement May 2004 to September 2005
Train, plan and assign work to hourly plate/cmm inspectors and provide support to the general and NDT inspectors. Perform preliminary MRB review of nonconformance tags for completeness and ensure proper identification and segregation of suspect parts pending disposition. Provide internal and external corrective/preventive action as needed. Ensure compliance to company rules, regulations, procedures and union contract.
