Project Title : GWM - Morgan Stanley Smith Barney

Project Description: Following the merger of Morgan Stanley and Smith Barney, the respective systems had to be integrated, this integration required creation of new WAS environments and a lot of changes on either side before and after integration.

Responsibility:

• Creation of new WAS environments in ND/XD. Engineering how many core-groups to have, distribution of applications/clusters in core-groups. Configuring ODR. Generating ODR Plugin/ ND plugin then manual updation of the Plugin file to match application requirements of ND or XD. Creation of static/Dynamic clusters, deployment of applications, creation of automated scripts for further ear/war deployments, configuration of datasources, shared libraries , namespace bindings, MQ listeners , setting other configuration parameters such as heap sizes, logging and tracing parameters, Applying SSL certificates as required. Configuration of WAS webservers, creation of websites.

• Troubleshooting in case of issues in existing environments including Production.

• Deployments in WebSphere Process Server in Z/OS platform

• Critical Production deployments especially first time configuration of an application going live.

• Installation/Uninstallation of Fixpacks, ifixes to the various WAS environments.

Project Description: Citibank is the world’s largest financial conglomerate. STS – Shared Technology Services is a pool of shared common resources serving across different Lines of Businesses of Citibank.

• Create, maintain and move files in between the development, system testing (ST), Pre-UAT and UAT environments

• Debug and fix environment problems

• Package developed component at the end of the quarter and hand over to production support team for application to production.

• Basic UNIX shell scripting

• Creation and maintenance of weblogic domains; for developed components to be incorporated into an ear (enterprise archive) file which needed to be deployed on a weblogic server.

• Applied application ears onto onsite environments where weblogic servers were maintained by a third party. For this role, I got acquainted with java and fundamentals of weblogic administration.
