GENERAL WARD NURSE
Trained in nursing care of patients in different wards. Through this exposure I’ve learned how to deal with patients with different illnesses and different needs, giving medications, carry out doctor’s order and assisting nursing staff in the care of all patients.
Job Description:
INTENSIVE CARE UNIT
Responsible for monitoring and total nursing care of the critically ill patient assigned to him or her. Assist in the maintenance of equipments within the unit. Responsible in the observance as asepsis and disinfection of equipments used by the patient. Administer medicines prescribed by the doctors. Follows up laboratory report and inform physician of recent laboratory results. Charts and records all patient data collected.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Fills up and update client’s admission from taking family and medical history, accurate physical examination to notify concerned health care providers and physician.
-Monitors and documents client’s chart precisely
-Monitors and reports medication errors and negligence
-Council client’s upon discharge on their home medication and treatment
-Provides information to client’s and their relatives or caregiver
-Assist the attending physician in all procedures done to the patient.
