The source system upgrade result in many old data sources either useless or insufficient with respect to necessary data required for the various reports. The various EBP reports, shopping cart query reports etc were not displaying proper data. To address this issue we identified the new datasources available and modified the extraction model by replicating from new datasources, designing corresponding transfer structures and Communication structures for data load to various existing data targets.

• BW SMART application realignment to address R/3 source systems merger. Philips Electronics underwent a merger of its three R/3 sources system. The r/3 system for EMEA Region, North America Region and Asia Pacific Region were merged and because of this we have to do the necessary alignment in BW side for Purchase orders and Account Payable Datasources. This task involves getting data from datasources which is the valid source system after the merger as well as cleaning of redundant datasources referring to old source systems. Also address the long time pending requirement of aligning the data model as per CLIA architecture from two layered architecture namely Acquisition Layer and Reporting Layer to four layered architecture namely Data Acquisition Layer, Data Transformation Layer, Data Container Layer and Data Reporting Layer.

• In Philips, Account Payable data is having huge value under Not Assigned section. This result in reporting having no meaningful information. To address this there was a plan to enrich the vendor information so that Account Payable should have proper Vendor Info.To enrich the data various data enrichment Tools were evaluated with respect to its enrichment capability as well as its ability to integrate with SAP BI Tools. For this third party softwares like ARIBA and Zycus were evaluated. Evaluation were made with respect to these software with the offerings from SAP MDM. Project blueprint was defined with respect to the integration with SAP BI SMART application.

• XI Charging Analytic application using SAP BI. This project was designed to charge the various Team based on there usages of XI Interfaces. Based on volume of messages, size of messages and total quantity of messages, the XI interface being used were charged. The tricky part was to determine the Rate Card Tariff. The Tariff was not fixed but vary based on volume and period. These Tariffs were maintained in SAP XI system and downloaded to SAP BI. The source system for this project was SAP XI. The message size and message volume were aggregated based on Interface Id and 0CALMONTH. Using lookup tables and dynamic price determination the price to be charged were determined. The project involves extensive ABAP coding in various Start Routines.

• BI Analytic based on Peregrine System Data. Peregrine is a ServiceCenter Tool used for Service Level Management. The tool effectively measures service level performance against SLA commitments. Here the Peregrine Data is uploaded to BW System in the designed model using Flat Files data extraction mechanism and various reports were designed as per the business need.

• Involved in Technical Upgrade Project for BI system having BI Application called Peregrine reporting from version 3.0 to 7.0.

• CLIA BCS for Philips Corporate Functions. The project is about BI based financial Consolidation. The consolidation is based on Common layer Integration Architecture (CLIA) followed in Philips. There are two type of consolidations addressed in this project namely Group Consolidation and Country Consolidation. In Group Consolidation the consolidation is done as per Product Groups where as in country consolidation, it is done as per country. The project is designed to replace the old accounting consolidation principles based on COMAR. The BW BCS system receives data from all product divisions. The consolidated data is then used for reporting such as Annual, Quarterly and half yearly Reports.
