As the Fleet Manager for this division I managed all aspects of the fleet. I have proven abilities at maintaining vehicle upkeep preventative maintenance programs accident management and fuel utilization for both regulated and non-regulated vehicles. Keeping costs to a minimum yet focusing on a safe/reliable fleet keeping vehicles in service on road and productive. This including heavy work with management vehicles (cars-small vans-pick ups) yet all regulated vehicles DOT/FMCSA compliance motor carrier compliance as applied to in all 50 US states and portions of Canada is/was always a primary objective.

Responsible for all areas of Fleet Management for largest fleet in the corporation. Consisting of 558 DOT regulated vehicles a 685 employee roster of CMV drivers along with all non-regulated vehicles and drivers. Non regulated vehicles consisted of company cars vans pick up and light duty trucks for a total of 900 plus vehicles.

Audited reviewed and enforced strict maintenance and fueling policies for all

vehicles under my control both regulated and non-regulated. Proactively

participated in all decisions on vehicle service/maintenance to ensure proper

cost and cost controls were in place. at all times.

Audited reviewed all regulatory compliance requirements DOT EPA OSHA.

Implemented DOT & Safety Training at all locations visited to ensure overall DOT &

safety compliance emphasizing follow-up.

Performed audit functions to ensure that corporate policies were in place and

adhered to including development of progress to correct areas of non -compliance.

Reviewed evaluated and assisted in all areas of Fleet Management at all Profit Centers related to company (client) vehicles and their use. Regularly communicated with managers developing relationships and trust.

Visually inspected all vehicle(s) at each assigned location/component in order to preform required review of DOT & maintenance/service compliance. Inspections included chassis engine compartment body load area cleanliness safety equipment operation etc..

Assisted in management of vendors in the field related to vehicle maintenance to

Implemented a reporting program to advise the managers of problems and assist in development of action plan for correction.

Reviewed interpreted and administered warranty and policy adjustments for each

location in the event credit from manufacturers/suppliers could be obtained.

Developed and follow through on action plans created after audits to ensure corrective

Appointed to this position after successfully advancing through all positions within the Claims Department. Used developed skills in contract interpretation of Automotive Warrant/Service Contracts sold by API its associated agents/agencies. This

position was created to resolve coverage complaints prior to litigation complaint resolution through negotiation via written response to complaints filed through

various government agencies client attorneys and/or any BBB complaints.

Handled all complaints personally consultation with corporate legal team/attorney

prior to litigation or if additional legal action was required to resolve conflicts and coverage complaints. Worked directly with contract holders per specific contract coverage in the event conflicts could not be resolved in a amicable fashion. Contracts contained a clause where in the event coverage complaints could not be settled between the parties or threatened litigation the contracts binding arbitration process would be implemented to resolve differences. All such cases were adjudicated via the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Process included answering all inquiries included participation in actual hearings. This process demanded strong analytical skills preparation for actual hearings the arbitrator selection process and preparation of all documents required for hearing.

Claims Manager:

Responsible for managing 30 person call center - Inbound/out-bound - Including hiring training retention and continual review process of individual employee.

Employees managed included all supervisory personnel customer service operators mechanical claims adjusters and underwriting staff as required

Primary contact for all eletronic and written correspondence from Federal State and private consumer agencies as well as private attorneys and contract holders.

Developed quality control call system allowing for monitoring and tracking call center volume and proper distribution of calls
