• Working alongside clients, families, and fellow healthcare team in order to provide individualized client nursing care

• Performing assessment and monitoring appropriate for the client and the situation such as vital signs, neurologic, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, IV site/line, urinary catheters, NG tubes, chest tubes and blood transfusions

• Prioritizing identified nursing problems and implementing suitable interventions

• Using knowledge and skills to implement care that ensures client safety and comfort such as bedside care, medication administration, first aid/wound care, NGT feeding, and among other nursing skills and techniques

• Assisting the physician in special procedures such as those done in the OR/Delivery room setting

• Educating patients and their families on disease processes, medical-surgical procedures, and broad aspects of therapeutic regimens, including medication and pain-management techniques

• Reporting unusualities and following facility protocol in charting and documenting the care provided
