March 2000 to Present Amherst H. Wilder Foundation (Saint Paul, MN) Payroll Administrator

• Process biweekly payroll gross-to-net, including data entry of 450 employee time and day records.

• Calculation and distribution of all reports and paychecks.

• Process and enter all employee change forms relating to salary, address, and job changes, including W4, child support, and garnishments.

• Prepare all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reports.

• Prepare and distribute W2 forms.

• Collaborate with the Benefits Administrator to produce COBRA notices.

• Create and maintain all employee medical and dental benefit records.

• Collaborate with Auditors for the Foundation’s annual audit to ensure all rules, regulations and standards are met and adhered to.

• Process and maintain all Unemployment Compensation documentation.

• Serve as beta tester for payroll administration software (Lawson) upgrade and/or patch to ensure seamless transition and data integrity. Also serve as key contact for Lawson-related problems throughout the Foundation.

• Collaborate with Financial Services Manager to ensure accuracy of all financial and payroll records.

Achievements

• In 2000, I developed a detailed procedures manual (there was none at the time) for all payroll and employee record tasks.

• Served as the sole and initial beta tester during a recent (2009) system upgrade.

• In 2004, I developed, implemented, and currently assist with maintaining Wilder Foundation’s day and time recording procedures, thus allowing the Foundation to reduce costs and benefits equivalent to one Managerial FTE.

• I developed and assisted with implementation of Personal Time Off (PTO) donation process which allows employees to “donate” excess PTO time to other employees who may need extra time off in times of personal difficulties.
