Comptel Instant Link is a mediation system for subscriber provisioning and service activation from the OSS/BSS systems to the HLR.

Comptel Instant Link receives requests from the OSS/BSS systems, translates the requests to network-element-specific commands and executes these commands. After execution of a request, Comptel Instant Link sends a response to the OSS/BSS.

Role: QA Engineer

Description:

The main focus of this project was on Integration testing of the various OSS interfaces from AIS,MetaSolv,EPOS,TIPPS,CRM,MCCI to the Telcordia IN platform and the various BSS interfaces from the Telcordia Platform to AMD which in turn is interfaced with RAS,BI,PPS,WDS.

The Telcordia IN was inculcated as new IN for all Prepaid Systems along with existing Alcatel IN within TTSL Network. Tests were carried out to test provisioning of new subscribers from AIS/MetaSolv/EPOS as well as Service Management for existing subscribers through Service Requests raised from TIPPS/CRM.AMD interface testing included testing of the interfaces between AMD to DRS which generates the Raw INDRs and other downstream systems such as RAS, BI, PPS, WDS which take the processed INDRs as input. The Network Feature Testing included testing the various features of the IN Platform such as subscriber services as specified in the feature matrix and IVR testing.

Responsibilities:

Wrote Test plans, Test cases, executed Test cases for SQL/backend test and tracked defects in Quality Center based on the Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, Business Workflows, A&D documents.

Project: Audio Link Jul 04– Aug 05

Role: Developer

Description:

OMAP is dual core processor developed by Texas Instruments for telecommunication applications. This project mainly aims at interfacing an Audio Codec device (AD73311) to the DSP core (C55xx) of the OMAP processor. The final control of the Codec will be done by the ARM core. ARM has VxWorks and DSP core has DSP/BIOS running on them. Audio data will be stored on the ARM memory from where data will be transferred to DSP through DSP/BIOS LINK software which is developed for transferring data between ARM and DSP cores. Then data will be transferred to codec for playing. The same method will be followed in reverse order to record audio data through the codec

Developed device drivers in VxWorks, DSP/BIOS OS for TI processer.
