To Whom It May Concern,
After contributing to the growth and success of two different organizations, I am seeking new challenges with a company in need of someone with exceptional planning, leadership, and management abilities. Taking command of an operation or project, then guiding it to new performance levels, is my greatest strength. I would like to offer my resume for your consideration.
A review of my credentials will confirm that I have served is some of the most diverse and demanding operations in the country. I have led operations with excellent customer loyalty and business development initiatives, complimented by high caliber relationship management, world class operational excellence, and a record for delivering value to client organizations.
For example, I have provided outstanding leadership performance in both start-up and failing operations, in need of 180 turnaround. I was one of three individuals that grew the Standard Corporation from a $1.2 million company to a $1.6 billion company, over 10 years. My achievements for clients are equally notable, driving for them double ROI and many contributions to improving processes.
Other highlights of my background are:
• Led a team of 20 IT professionals in the development of a WMS (warehouse management system) that operated 56% of Sam’s Club’s import network.
• Served as leader of seven Six Sigma projects that proved to improve the process and reduce operating expenses by $2.8 million.
• Had total responsibility for a successful start-up of the largest operation in the United States. This facility was 4,000,000 sq. ft. and supplied Wal-Mart with the majority of their imported goods.
• I have been formally recognized for turning around two of the most troubled operations in UTi. Both of these turn arounds involved increasing quality, restoring customer confidence, and increasing NOI (net operating income) by 70%.
• Highly capable of managing multiple and large operations. My most recent responsibilities were on the scale of $54 million in direct operating expense, employing up to 1,700 associates.
In review of my resume, you will note my growth and experience. What it cannot illustrate, however, is the degree of dedication, resourcefulness, and professionalism that I can offer. I would welcome a conversation to discuss how I could contribute to the success of your company. I look forward to pursuing this relationship with you in the near future.
Sincerely,
David Madden
