I am seeking to resume my clerical and administrative career following a break from full time employment to raise my children and run a household of five.

Highlights of Experience

• I have developed a broad range of skills which will suit the needs of many employers in an administrative capacity as well as customer relations. Some of these include bookkeeping, budgeting, travel itineraries, executive office work, basic accounting, planning and organization, scheduling and computer operations. As well I have held a Secret Clearance when employed with the Federal Government.

• I am able to carry out a variety of tasks at once in hectic and demanding situations with ease and confidence. This allows me to carry out duties assigned with a minimum of instruction.

Personal Skills

Effective Communication/Customer Service/People Skills

• My major work experience has been with executive office administration, assisting the Directors, Chiefs and high ranking Military Staff with delicate and sometimes classified information. I have also supervised from 3 to 15 employees maintaining schedules and workload balance.

• I have developed excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills.

• I am confident and friendly when meeting and assisting people on all levels and am able to provide them with quality service.

• I am able to effectively, courteously and tactfully handle clients either in person or over the telephone in a professional manner.

Clerical Skills/Organizational Skills

• I am proficient in all duties associated with an office situation, including dealing with customer inquiries, reception duties, collecting and handling money, depositing funds, filing, typing, computer use, software associated with administrative offices and front offices. My current typing speed is 50 words per minute.

• Plan work events, meetings, seminars, presentations and schedules. These required providing minutes and notes of the meeting for later examination by superiors and attendees. These seminars were for high ranking officers, diplomats and chiefs of several Military and federal Organizations which required security clearance in which I was a liaison between our company and the FBI to coordinate the clearances and the materials to be utilized for the seminars.

• Maintain and prepare reports, analysis, activities, charts and department documentations to include; the knowledge and use of the Freedom of Information Act, Criminal Record processing, reporting, investigating and filing in accordance with Military and Government regulations..

• Update, manage and maintain websites.

• Prepare travel for office members to include flights, itineraries, scheduling, car rental, hotel accommodations and then annotate cost and budget. When they return, collate all the receipts and submit expense reports to the appropriate offices

• Proficient in the use of general office equipment and general maintenance i.e. refilling paper, changing toner.

• Ability to plan and coordinate charity events.

Computer Skills

• I have had experience with a variety of different computer programs and systems including exceptional skills with Microsoft Office based programs, Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook and access to highlight a few. These were used on a daily basis to create documentation, charts, graphs, presentations, budgeting, memos and letters. I have also used these to create technical manuals, criminal records input and investigation and follow up on documentations as required.

• I can pick up quite quickly on the use of new programs, software, procedures and tasks as they are explained to me.

• I have a diverse background of technical skills to include basic system administration, database creation and use and customer support dealing with hardware and software to include desktops and laptops.
