Summary

In applying for this position i will be using the vast knowledge that i have accumulated throughout the years working in a clinical laboratory setting. I have been in a clinical laboratory for 11 years. Starting out i became a phlebotomist while going to school for medical technology. By doing this i have acquired knowledge from interaction with the patients to my 7 years experience as a technician by working on the bench. I then went on to substitute teach at the college for mlt while working in a laboratory setting. My extensive working experience will enable be to bring a full range of skills from different perspectives within the laboratory setting.

Objectives

In applying for this position i hope to further my knowledge in the medical technology field. Through the development of these learned skills i hope to expand this company's ability to create better laboratory satisfactions, ergo making our patients and other clientele astounded and happy with our duties.

Employment History

November 2010– present: Medical technician Mary Washington Healthcare, fredericksburg, VA, United States

In this position i successfully run the hematology departments. I due manual and automated testing of coagulation samples, urine samples and manual blood counts. I also process samples to be analyzed for the chemistry, hematolgy and blood bank departments

September 2007– September 2008: Medical technician ACM labs, Rochester, Ny, United States

Successfully performed maintenance on analyzers within the hematology department. Performed automated and manual testing on coagulation, urinalysis, and hematology samples. Also did testing on clinical trials samples. I also performed other miscellaneous manual testing.

October 2004– November 2010: Medical technologist Strong memorial hospital, Rochester, Ny, United States I worked in the hematology and chemistry departments. I ran automated and manual testing on coagulation, urinalysis, blood gas analysis and complete blood counts. While also performing several miscellaneous manual tests.

January 2001– August 2005: Medical Technician Onslow memorial , Jacksonville, Nc, United States

Laboratory generalists. I performed automated testing in all laboratory departments: such as hematology, blood bank, serology chemistry and microbiology. Also patient maintenance and routine venipunctures, on inpatient and outpatient patients. Did accu checks as needed processed and ordered tests to be performed.
