Description:

The company currently sells personal computers, servers, data storage devices, network switches, software, computer peripherals and televisions. All the data has been captured in the reports. This project is to perform sales analysis at Dell. There are 14 Reports and 2 dashboards which were created by Crystal Xcelsius. It is real time data warehouse. Weekly report scheduling has been done. Informatica8 has been used as an ETL Tool to extract data from Oracle Database.

WikiSMART Dashboard: Using Crystal Xcelsius2008

This interactive, visual model allows executives to forecast their annual sales and marketing expense for various World regions by modifying the projected sales growth for each region. Executives can further analyze regional results by comparing their 5 year annual sales trends to their top two competitors, and by viewing relative market presence for all regions.

Contribution:

• Worked with QAAWS (Query as a Web Service) to access data from the Universe.

Project Description:

The HARTFORD is one of the largest Insurance and Financial Services Company in the United States of America. The HARTFORD is a leading provider of Investment Products, Life Insurance Products, and Products for Group and Employee benefits, Business Insurance and Reinsurance. This project was intended for the company people to analyze both written policies as well as claims to see which coverage’s are most profitable and which are least profitable and also to measure profit over time by covered item type, state, country, demographic profile, underwriter, sales broker and sales region. For this purpose various kinds of Reports are generated on the basis of types of Policies, Policy holder information, Policy covered item details, Premium payment details, and types of Claims in order to provide more flexible analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Used Business Objects designer to create Universes, classes, and objects.

• Generated reports with Universes created in Business objects Designer as the data providers with various functionalities that displayed data even in a graphical Format.

• Created daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the management team and field operation managers using Business Objects Reports.
