Process Owner responsible for D-6 thru D-9 Medium Tractor Assembly Line. Accountable for all work instructions, processes, assembly line material handling equipment, assembly tools, lifting devices, safe job procedures, line balancing, manpower planning, labor efficiency, material routings, etc associated with assembly line.

Selected Accomplishment/ Responsibilities:

• Lead Project Engineer on designing and installing nine new material handling conveyor systems for delivery of large structures to medium tractor assembly line.

• Capacity planning and coordination of assembly line.

• Championed and coached CPS (Caterpillar Production System) transformation initiatives on Medium Tractor Assembly Line. This required championing a culture shift to lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies.

• Green Belt lead on Processing and Facilitation of D9R and 587 Pipelayer move from stall build to assembly line build. Projects completed on time and on budget July 2009. This project has an accounting validated ROI of $575,000 per year.

• New process validation and new product introduction to medium tractor assembly line to confirm product manufacturability. Currently supporting 3 new product introductions.

Departments consist of five 1000# rubber mixing systems and 43 key quality check machines with over 10,000 feet of conveyance systems. Areas of responsibility cover over 750,000 sq ft.

• Accountable for Project management on all 2005-2008 capital projects in rubber mixing and final finish department, warehouse and tire testing area. This requires identifying departmental capital projects based on production, quality and facility needs. Championing these projects from inception, scope definition, design review phase, budgeting, the internal and corporate financial review process, vendor selection, project implementation and post project review audit.

• Engineering representative on four Six Sigma team projects accounting for over $300,000 in true monetary saving per year for plant. Six Sigma Green Belt team coach for mixing department

• Chosen to serve as Lead Project Engineer on four year 13.6 million tire conveyor and inspection modernization project. This position serves as chief project designer, scheduler, project tracker and budget administrator. Developed and presented design and financial request plan to Bridgestone CEO for project approval. This plan consisted of project layouts, scope, schedule and budget incorporated into a PowerPoint presentation. This project was approved and Phase 1 was completed in 2007 on time and on budget.

Carlisle Tire and Wheel / Titan Tire Corp. of Tennessee, Clinton, TN 2000-2005

Manager of Manufacturing Services

Managed plant engineering, maintenance, storeroom, machine shop and facilities departments for 400,000 sq ft, 24/7 tire manufacturing facility. This position was responsible for all plant machinery, equipment and facilities including safety and environmental concerns. Additionally I continued working on larger projects requiring more experience and expertise.

Selected Accomplishment/ Responsibilities:

• Supervised and managed a diverse department consisting of four engineers, two maintenance supervisors, 46 multi-disciplined craftsmen, two storeroom clerks, four machinists, four boiler room operators, and a facilities project crew consisting of a supervisor and six multi-craft technicians.

• Developed and managed yearly multi-million dollar capital and expense budgets for all manufacturing support departments including product engineering.

• Plant engineering responsibilities for entire 400,000 sq ft facility including tire manufacturing machinery, storeroom, boiler room, a/c systems, air compressors, and 90 acre grounds and waste treatment upkeep.

• Responsible for all plant safety and environmental programs and issues

• Lead project team on plant design and machinery specifications for proposed expansion at Clinton Facility

• Championed restructuring of maintenance department resulting in $250,000 annual cost savings to facility.

• Restructured storeroom for improved efficiency and reduced unnecessary storeroom inventory by over $300,000
