Summary

Highly accomplished, results oriented professional with over 16 years of engineering, project management, strategic planning, business process development, business development, product development and deployment of high-end PLM and CAD toolsets at large OEMs. Accrued this experience from various industries including automotive, packaging, material handling, manufacturing and aeronautics to name a few. My value proposition is to be a business analyst with a “From Engineer to Engineer” focus.

My objective is to secure a PLM business analyst position with a focus on the process and its purpose first, and secondly, how to make the technology serve that purpose, not the other way around. I plan to move back to India in early 2010.

I have lead teams of engineers and developers doing implementation, customizations, deployments, analysis of engineering designs, manufacturing, and ongoing product support. Charged with applying industry standard analysis methods and techniques to improve and optimize applications and related processes in complex engineering and manufacturing situations throughout the value stream. As a business analyst, I developed sound requirement and functional specifications, definition, integration and documentation of new and improved process solutions working directly with software vendors like Siemens PLM, Dassault Systemes, and Mentor Graphics. This included the creation of data and process architectures involving a large-scale implementation of state of the art product definition toolsets, system engineering, product lifecycle management (PLM) systems, supplier integration, supply chain optimization and also managing software development projects with software vendors.

Played key roles in negotiating and validating the proposed system requirements and solutions with internal and original software providers. Partnered with IT management to develop and align IT support plans for the product development business.

Participates on several software user’s group committees relative to the planning and standardization of CAD and PLM/PDM software tools and practices, and has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Pune University, India and Masters in Computer Information Sciences from University of Michigan.
