• Managing the implementation and oversight of the laboratory’s quality control program. This includes production and maintenance of quality system documents in accordance with NELAC standards, production and implementation of SOPs, execution of all internal audits, acting as principle respondent for all external audits, administering proficiency tests, and validating data.
• Supervising DOD research projects on photocatalytic oxidation of CBRN/TIC/TIM compounds (DoD project). This includes re-engineering and developing benchscale photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) prototype units, experimental design, and statistical analysis of data.
• Managing a microbiology laboratory team of two laboratory technicians in performing commercial analyses and classified research while maintaining tight deadlines.
• Technical writing and preparation of interpretative reports and data presentations for DOD clients.
• Operation, evaluation and testing of lab-scale ultrafiltration (UF) and reverse osmosis (RO) units (DoD project).
• Analysis of chemical and microbiological constituents by IC, FIMS, CVAA, LC-MS, ICP-MS, spectroscopy, EPA Method 1623, Standard Method 9223, and others.
• Assisting in method development of metals speciation by LC-ICP/MS, PPCPs and algal toxins by LC-MS/MS, and CWA simulant byproducts by IC.
