My duties and responsibilities included the following:

Responsibilities:

• Involved in making the workflow process for the project managers and the analysts much smoother by keeping track of the process status and also maintaining the notes for them.

• Facilitated meetings (JAD Sessions) and interviews with stake holders to gather the Business Requirements

Worked as a Business Analyst for the Quality Assurance Group, before being promoted to the position of “Business Process Lead”. Efficiently handled multiple roles in areas such as Business Analysis, Process Definition and Improvement, Project management and Quality Control.

Projects Undertaken:

• Development of “Activity Reporting System” to capture the efforts spent by the Project teams on different activities on a daily basis. “Activity Reporting System” is an Online Application System where the Project team members fill up their respective Time Sheets on a day to day basis. The filled up Time sheets are automatically submitted to the respective Project Managers for review and approval. After the approval, the Time sheets are submitted to the QA team for consolidation and Metrics measurement. The data from the Activity Reporting System would be used to measure Performance metrics on efforts, reviews, and defects which further helps to baseline goals and to perform trend analysis.

• Development of “Metrics Measurement System” which is an Excel based application to be used to capture the raw data for each phase of SDLC. Once the raw data is entered into the respective columns, the application automatically calculates various metrics such as Effort Variance, Schedule Variance, Productivity, Defect Density, Review Effectiveness, etc. The Metrics Measurement System is designed to address Effort Projection, Schedule Projection, and Defect Prevention and to perform Causal Analysis.

• Creation and Maintenance of Internal Quality Management System (IQMS), which is an internal repository hosted on the Company’s Intranet, consisting of Process documents, Templates, Forms, Checklists, Guidelines, Standards, Presentations, Tools and References.
