HIGHLIGHTS OF QUALIFICATIONS

Identified to analyze reasons for poor performance of production equipment. Recommend and managed implementation of modified Preventive and Predictive Maintenance and Quality Control programs.

Impact: Performance and reliability improved production targets achieved while maintenance costs decreased. Equipment availabilities increased 35% over three year period.

Managed large rehabilitation project of major production equipment, extensively damaged during operation and removed from production. Planned and coordinated activities and resources for project, including: 35 onsite craft personnel, six in-house agencies and outside contractors at a total project cost of $2.5M.

Equipment were specified, purchased and subsequently installed, upgraded and repaired in strict compliance with ASME and API Codes and Jacobs’ and BP’s engineering and safety specifications. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mechanical Engineer Jacobs Engineering 2008 - 2009

Coordinated mechanical engineering aspects for several projects at BP Texas City Refinery. Estimated engineering hours, checked engineering data and calculations. Specified NDT and other tests and examinations during fabrication. Checked in-progress jobs at vendors’ Shops.

• Reviewed client’s specifications designed and prepared equipment specifications for vessels, tanks, towers, pumps, heat exchangers and other plant equipment in strict compliance with ASME, ANSI and API codes.

• Directed mechanical engineering aspects of major project – Maximum Diesel Production – at BP Texas City Refinery.

• Collaborated with other engineering disciplines and departments, vendors and contractors to ensure that equipment were correctly specified, purchased, installed and modified.

• Prepared Job Notes and Construction Packages with detailed technical instructions and procedures for installations, modifications, repairs and start-up of plant equipment. Followed projects to construction / installation and through to start-up phase.

• Prepared equipment specifications, RFQ’s, RFP’s for acquisition of plant equipment. Performed technical evaluations. Reviewed vendors’ drawings and data. Advised on selection of vendors.

General Manager (Facilities) Aramark – Facilities Services, Houston, TX 1996–2007

Directed the maintenance and operations of assets in 60 schools and administrative facilities, within the Houston Independent School District, total value in excess of $200M. Managed an annual operations budget of $5M. Led team of 91 managers, supervisors, craft and administrative personnel.

• Managed the efficient and reliable maintenance and operations of all structures and equipment within area.

• Maintained safe and healthy environment, conducive to learning and teaching at each facility.

• Chaired Preventive Maintenance (PM) Committee updated asset register and developed new and improved task lists and PM schedules for all electro mechanical equipment within the District.

Project Engineer Exxon, Georgetown, Guyana 1992–1994

Directed operations of fleet of 12 fuel tankers and the storage and distribution facilities and inventory of lubricants and other petroleum products at facility. Managed annual operation budget of $2M. Led team of 15 supervisors, operators and maintenance personnel.

• Directed the efficient and reliable supply of petroleum products to customers. Provided technical training and advice to customers.

• Developed, directed and managed safety program for personnel, equipment and facility, resulting in zero accident loss hours over a two year period. Program was adapted for use at Exxon installations throughout Central America and the Caribbean.

• Developed and managed the implementation and operation of Preventive Maintenance program for all equipment.

• Advised management on issues related to maintenance and repairs for entire truck fleet in company.

Maintenance Manager Guymine, Mackenzie, Guyana (former Alcan subsidiary) 1981–1992

Managed the maintenance of mining equipment which included bucket wheel excavators and conveyor systems, walking draglines, construction equipment, pumps, generators and compressors as well as the operations of workshop and field repair facilities; total asset cost in excess of $300M. Led team of more than 160 engineers, supervisors, craft and administrative personnel. Developed and managed annual operations plans and maintenance budgets.
