Trade institutional order flow in financial sector stocks in both agency and principal capacities. Manage position risk of capital commitments. Ascertain market impact of orders and advise sales traders accordingly. Act as liaison between desk traders and information technology department to optimize performance of various trading systems (proprietary and non-proprietary). Work closely with operations personnel to resolve any trading breaks across the desk. Developed, and currently maintain, institutional trading desk profit & loss and other related databases. September 2001 to October 2004 - Mexican Arbitrage Trader

Ran self-contained operation. Traded arbitrage between U.S. listed ADRs and native ordinary shares. Managed overnight position and currency risk. Relayed arbitrage information to appropriate sales traders in order to drive order flow and provide price improvements for institutional accounts.

Traded NASDAQ stocks proprietarily and executed orders received from external broker-dealers during period of extreme volatility (“internet bubble”).

June 1997 to June 1999 - Stock Execution/Proprietary Trader

Traded equities in order to hedge firm equity option and index option positions. Traded hedged baskets of index component stocks versus index futures in an attempt to profit from futures deviation from fair value.

June 1997 to June 2005 - Risk Specialist

Worked closely with index arbitrage department to distribute equity baskets to the street to hedge risk of expiration related activity.

Updated equity option markets, maintained order books, organized trades between post and crowd, calculated deltas. Priced and ran secondary indices at posts.
