EDUCATION
Drexel University 2008
Lehigh Carbon Community College 2005

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
June 2003 – January 2011
MCM and Associates, 1208 8th Ave, NYC, NY
Position – Senior Estimator/Project Coordinator
- While at MCM I supervised and/or participated as a member of a team of professionals who performed C/A, F/S, I/A, P/A VE studies. These studies included but were not limited to analyzing all Project Documentation (Specifications, A/E Notes, Schematic Drawings, Historical Drawings, Aerial photos.…(even Dinner Napkins)), complete Detailed Take-Off (to mirror a Hard Bid Estimate), Market Unit Pricing Analysis, perform Historical Labor/Material Unit Analysis (to insure that all estimates’ were consistent with the market rate/direction curve), establish Unit Rate Data Base (utilizing an assortment of systems ranging form MS Office to Timberline). Acted as the client liaison during negotiations and Project Life Cycle Meetings, as well as field representative from the beginning of a projects creation to its completion, overseeing that the pre-construction cycle (estimates, methodology and thought process) was carried over to both the construction and post construction cycles, this insured QAQC for the client as well as minimizing RFC and C/O’s.

September 1995 – June 2003
Lehigh County Vocational -Technical School
Schnecksville, PA
Position - Special Instructor for the Electrical/Plumbing/HVAC Program as well as the Construction Technologies Programs.
Just as I did at UBCVT I also utilized my hands-on experience and knowledge of construction (New & Renovation) to teach the students the importance of Theory, Load Calculation, Elec. Services Line/Low Voltages, I/M Oil & Gas Systems, D/I/M Wet and Dry Air Systems, Design/Layout of Construction Systems, Blue Print Reading and Conceptual /Hard Bid Estimating techniques (analyzing Labor/Unit Rates, Take-Off Techniques). I also taught my students the importance of being a part of a team (trade, project, and client), and the importance of analyzing Project Documents/Data (Specs/Drawings, Pre/Post, Scope Review). To be successful required me to constantly model these behaviors and skills for my students daily, in all activities. Through a series of “Project Role Playing Scenarios” I created teams that represented each portion of a construction project (A/E, Vendors, Clients, Inspectors, and Other Trades). By doing so I was able to impart upon them the importance of team work and that the project does not stop/end after the estimate/proposal has been completed but when the client has been 100% satisfied. I emphasized the importance of project monitoring and post project analysis. Successful education requires a total team approach. As an effective teacher I had to work with students, colleagues, administration, parents and social service agencies, often struggling to work within all of the different agendas.

October 1994 - December 1995
Upper Bucks County Vocational -Technical School
Perkasie, PA
Long Term Substitute Teacher (Electrical Occupations and the Welding Programs)
- As a teacher I utilized my hands-on experience and knowledge of construction (New & Renovation) to teach the students the importance of Theory, Load Calculation, Elec.

September 1990 - September 1994
Promatech, Inc., Riverside, NJ
Position – Chief Estimator/MEP Coordinator
- While at Promatech I supervised and/or participated as a member of a team of professionals who performed C/A, F/S, I/A, P/A VE studies. These studies were accomplished by analyzing all Project Documentation (Specifications, A/E Notes, Schematic Drawings, Historical Drawings, Aerial photos.…), complete Detailed Take-Off (to mirror a Hard Bid Estimate), Market Unit Pricing Analysis, perform Historical Labor/Material Unit Analysis (to insure that all estimates’ were consistent with the market rate/direction curve), establish Unit Rate Data Base utilizing an assortment of systems ranging form MS Office to Timberline). Acted as the client liaison during negotiations and Project Life Cycle Meetings, as well as field representative from the beginning of a projects creation to its completion, overseeing that the pre-construction cycle (estimates, methodology and thought process) was carried over to both the construction and post construction cycles, this insured QAQC for the client as well as minimizing RFC and C/O’s (which I kept down to just under 4% on both Amtrak’s “30th Street Renovation Project” and Septa’s “Railworks Project”). This effort won Septa “The Project of the year”.
