• Responsible for all aspects of cost accounting and program performance including cost accumulation practices, policy and controls, financial reporting and performance tracking of projects, contracts and financial analysis along with support of cost and pricing initiatives, along with EVMS initiatives.

• Provided needed information to the Program Directors for all new business and modifications to existing contracts(mostly IDIQ contracts with various pricing depending on quantities placed into production) including information concerning ECN’s, direct labor, travel, equipment purchases, subcontractors and consultants to be used, documentation requirements for contract deliverables, recommended fee and profit margin and pricing strategies to reflect program revenue and EBIT performance by program. All new releases were maintained into an Access database on a daily basis by contract.

• Produced EAC’s for DCAA in order to receive progress payments from the government via the DD250 for electronic progress billing (Form 1443) for approximately $1.5 to $3.0 million per month.

• Supervised two cost accountants, who prepared journals for the monthly close, analyzed balance sheet items to ensure values are correctly stated and tied into the P&L in accordance to the terms and conditions of the contract.

• Acted as ombudsman between contract administration and the DOD for any differences between CLIN items versus invoicing that might happen and resolve those discrepancies.
