Position: Student / Driver
Completed the C.R. England certified truck driving school. With an emphasis on driver safety this comprehensive program combined classroom training with on-truck and over-the-road driver training. After completing 21 days of classroom instruction, a written examination and a road test at the DMV, I received a Class A CDL. I then drove for 4 weeks over the road with a phase 1 trainer that monitored my progress, taught me good practices to drive by, and furthered my knowledge in how to operate a tractor and trailer safely. I then returned to the classroom for another 7 days of instruction as well as took an over the road examination given by C.R. England. Afterwards I drove for 8 weeks with a phase 2 trainer, giving me more experience over the road, stressing safety in everything we did, and teaching me how to run a business as a lease operator. After completion of the training, I had 3 months of over the road experience to navigate the nation’s highways, while being provided hands-on experience in the transportation industry.
