Responsible for everyday administration, management, coordination and implementation of the $17 million 6R140 Transmission Program. Lead and coordinated the daily activities of the on-site, CCM, Walbridge Project Manager and Ghafari Engineering Supervisor, G-Tech Engineers, and Ford Division Engineers and Ford/U.A.W. Skilled Trades, and the CM,Commodity Construction Contractors on all phases of the program. Starting with review and approval of Ghafari Architectural Drawings, application of permits from local and state agencies, extensive demolition of building, (90 building bays) facilities, concrete floors and underground plumbing and electrical volts, steam, water, sewer piping and machinery removal and demolition and proper disposal following ISO 14001 Standards. New excavation, installation of underground plumbing, steam, water, sewer piping, electrical volts, installation of new concrete floors and floor epoxy coverings, installation of new facilities and modification of existing facilities. Installations of new rooftop support steel frames for the new electrical sub stations and power distributions, hvac and ductwork, water and fresh air supplies. Fire protection systems. Attended daily meetings with Ford plant management and provided information updates and progress reports. This was my second program coordinating project work with a Walbridge Project Management Team and Ghafari Engineering in the previous ten years.

I feel that my biggest challenge was to evenly and fairly divide all the construction work between Walbridge, the designated construction project contractor, and the commodity construction contractor group, and still honor the Ford/U.A.W. bargaining agreement to provide the U.A.W. tradesmen and facility housekeeping crews with construction work without grievances or work stoppages, at the same time utilizing their talents and expertise and at the lowest cost, and promoting good working relationships. I achieved all my milestones, including budget, timing and safety. All work was done while all the other manufacturing departments were operating.
