I would like to be in a challenging position where my proficiency will allow me the opportunity to continue to learn and grow. I wish to leverage my technical skills to excel in career oriented positions and incorporate the elements of change to transit the organization into a leaner and more dynamic one. It is my wish to work in the far flung corners of the earth with different people and totally different situations than normal world. I would not mind assignments in places where no one else is willing to work. Challenges stimulate my learning experience even more.
For my recent activities and troubleshooting abilities see my linked in profile
Overall 5 years of technical experience. Salient features are list below.
2007 - Present Geologist SEL, Islamabad, Pakistan
Geological & Geophysical Studies:
Geological studies and interpretation, petroleum systems, risking, reserve evaluation in different ventures.
Interpretation of 3D and 2D data and prospect generation. Interpretation and evaluation of operated blocks (Khetwaro and Sari South).
GIIP Estimation of different leads and prospects in middle / lower Indus basin using Rep 5 software.
Made several geological conceptual models and cross sections in fold belts of Pakistan where seismic was not present. Used Google earth and global mapper to model those areas where minimum data was present.
In the New Ventures main responsibilities include review, integration, interpretation and evaluation of data. Evaluated more than 15 blocks and opportunities in the new ventures and made reports and presentations which included seismic interpretation, petroleum systems, identification of prospects and leads, volumetric and risking etc.
Generated structural and stratigraphic X-sections manual and as well as on Geographix.
Generated Porosity, Isopach, Net Sand, N/G maps of various prospects.
1D modeling at TM-1, Wajid-01 located in Karachi Trough.
Compilation of Geological Well Prognosis on the basis of G&G evaluation of the blocks.
Engaged actively in various exploration/operation activities in different Operated / JV concession blocks.
Establishing formation tops and zones of interests for the prognosis of the different well to be drilled.
Overview the daily drilling and geological reports for the active drilling wells and up gradation of the Litho logs including the actual V/s prognosis comparison for formations tops/drilling time chart.
Compilation of well completion reports and composite logs at the end of the drilled wells operated by SEL.
Interaction with Services companies for drilling wells operation activities.
Worked as a well site geologist at TM-1, Karim-1 and Wajid-1 well.
Supervised wire line logging, VSP, during stay at the well site.
Detailed Petrophysical analysis of wells TM-1, Shekhan-1, Karim-01, Wajid-01 and various wells surrounding SEL operated blocks, and made comprehensive reports. Able to apply any petrophysical model especially dual water model.
Provided interested zone and points to reservoir team for testing and formation pressure measurements.
Provided sidewall core points to Wellsite Geologist after discussing with Sedimentology group and Asset team of that block.
Integration of log data of wells of different blocks with various sources like Mud logs, Conventional core and Side well core and used it to build a realistic Petrophysical Model.
Saturation Height modeling technique (J function) study is in progress.
Hydrocarbon shows analysis by using the Mud Logs, Electrical logs and FMI & UBI (image logs).
The job role is co-ordination and provision of all aspects of petrophysics within in a multidisciplinary team environment with following responsibilities:
1. Log Evaluation: Log Data Acquisition, Planning, Editing and Interpretation of logs, pressure tests, cement evaluation.
Perform volumetric assessments and participate in hydrocarbon in place assessment.
Supervision of contractor personnel and mentoring of staff to ensure technical integrity of projects.
Participate or organize data-rooms, make quick look estimations for exploration projects and advise project teams and management on exploration risks and opportunities.
Cooperate with other departments in all matters of log data acquisition, administration and evaluation.
P/Z analysis, pressure buildup analysis using well test software, extracting skin, permeability and reservoir pressure (P*).
Shale gas project at initial stages, which includes evaluation of wireline logs and source rock potential.
Significant knowledge about petrophysics, reservoir engineering, geology and geophysics makes a stronger candidate to work in any position and at any role.
