Testing the Terabit core router (Avici QSR, HSR) at customer premises in Boston USA for 15 months. Created and implemented an offshore testing model and established a 9 member remote QA team in India for Avici.

Project Lead of a 9 member regression testing team

• Interfacing with the customer on a daily basis with all the teams for the various projects

• Writing and Implementing test plans for all new projects (RAPID, RSVP-FRR, BGP4+) in iTCL.

• Debug daily test failures and raise problem reports and discuss with the onsite engineers in the US

• Performance evaluation for all team members

• Regression testing of RSVP-FRR by creating new topologies and scenarios

• Developed a cost effective offshore testing model and presented to the customer for approval

• Implemented this model at FutureSoft’s office in India.

• Built the offshore team from scratch to a 9 member team including hiring of all the members

• Successfully conducted performance appraisals for all team members

• Testing of Avici web based NMS software.

Protocol Stress Testing

• Topology design and testing of the protocol & system stress setups

• Testing the core router and protocols like BGP, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, PIM, RSVP-TE, Ipv6, BGP4+ using Adtech AX4000 packet generators

• Interop testing with Cisco GSR (12000) and Cisco 7500

• Daily debugging of failures and raising problem reports and providing daily reports to upper management on showstopper bugs.

• Make alterations to the stress topology as when customer issues are seen in the field and reproduce those failures in the stress setup.

• Raising BUGS and reproducing them as and when required

Carrier Access Next Generation, Chennai India (November ‘02 – September ‘04)

Job Responsibility:

Complete study of Wintegra Network Processor Architecture and API management. Project involves porting of FutureSoft L2 – L3 protocol stack using the Wintegra API’s (WDDI) to the ADIT 3402.

The Project deals with conversion of FutureSoft BGP4 from Ipv4 to Ipv6. Implementation of Multi-Protocol Extensions (MP-BGP, RFC 2858) and BGP peer-groups. CLI implementation and porting of BGP4+ from 32 Bit to 64 Bit. Project also involves complete automation of FutureSoft BGP4+ using HPUX shell scripting.

• Design and testing of MP-BGP

o Implementation of test plan for MP-BGP

o Involved in the design and testing of FutureSoft MP-BGP

• Design, Development and testing of BGP4+ Peer Groups and BGP CLI.

o Designed the BGP4+ Peer groups feature with CLI support
