Have defined and developed Backup/recovery strategies to cover stringent financial organization needs.

Have also been on the look out constantly for newer technologies. Have built Cost of ownership models on the ones that make Business sense. And as a next step performed stringent POC’s. These include VTL’s, Tape less backups, Oracle on NAS, NAS solutions, etc.

Designed early SAN’s with departmental Brocade switches and EMC Clariion FC series arrays which by 2008 was almost 2 PB and 100+ Storage appliances. Exposure widely distributed across EMC Symmetrix, Clariions, Centera, Celerra, VTL, Brocade Enterprise class switches, Netapp Filers, etc.

Have successfully delivered from design, architect and execution various projects including Data Center migrations, VTL deployment, Email archiving, Backup Exec migration to Netbackup, Netbackup upgrade, Non Stop ASIQ environment,VDI on VMWare, etc.

Have developed customized reporting to augment standard SRM tools like ECC. Have deployed tools like ECC, DFM & Data Fabric Manager to enable effective monitoring and reporting.

As a part of the assignment, have lead a 15-member Distributed Storage Engineering and Operations team, which delivers end-to-end storage solutions to all areas of Key Technology Services. The team, consisting of engineers and operators, provides design, procurement, implementation, and support services.

The storage environment currently supports approximately 600 enterprise servers using close to 2 PB globally. In addition, approximately 80 VMWare servers hosting virtual machines are also SAN connected. The NAS infrastructure provides File Services for approximately 3000 employees.

Also responsible for annual evaluation of compliance testing in the Storage Services area, to ensure adequate controls are in place in terms of Storage Security and Access control.

Enterprise Control Center for EMC DMX disk allocation and LUN Masking

Navisphere for EMC Clariion disk management

ESN Manager from EMC and Web Tools from Brocade for Zoning tasks,

EMC PowerPath and HP SecurePath for failover and load balancing of I/O traffic on the hosts.

Workload Analyzer for performance monitoring of all EMC subsystems,

EMC StorageScope for Capacity monitoring and Utilization
