Profile:

I have almost six years of research experience in the field of polymer and polymer nanocomposites with an emphasis on mechanical, physical, thermal, weather, morphological and degradation properties and its nanocomposites with inorganic/ organic nanoparticles. I obtained my Masters degree (specialization in Polymer Chemistry) from the School of Chemical Sciences, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon (MS), India. Presently I am pursuing my Ph.D. research (from August 04, 2011) at School of Chemical Technology under the supervision of Prof. Satyendra Mishra and Dr. Navinchandra G. Shimpi. I worked as Project Fellow on UGC major research project entitled “Synthesis and characterization of nano polymer particles by microemulsion method and their application in polymer processing”. Presently I am working as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) on CSIR, New Delhi sponsored project entitled “Effect of nanoinorganic fillers on weather properties of elastomers”.

My job involves in above mentioned companies/institutions are as follows respectively:

1. Synthesis and Characterization of Nanofillers by various methods and see their effect of physico-mechanical, thermal and weather resistance properties of elastomers.

2. Synthesis and Characterization of Nano Polymer particles by Microemulsion Method and Their Application in Polymer Processing.

3. Synthesis and application testing of non toxic stabilizers (like, Ba/Zn, Ca/Zn, Ba/Cd/Zn), Cost reduction, Doing Research on various PVC heat Stabilizers.

4. BIAPL is a world leader in the field of polymer additives, mainly for PVC. Synthesis and application testing of new heat stabilizers for PVC, mainly liquid stabilizers. The various types of stabilisers developed are Ba / Zn, Ba / Cd / Zn, Ca / Zn and Ca / Sn. These are developed either as improvements over existing BIAPL products or as competitor counter-types.

Application tests conducted are:

• Static heat stability

• Dynamic heat stability

• Colour and clarity comparison of pressed plates

• Plate-out test

• Preparation and testing of plastisol sheets. These tests are conducted on the highly sophisticated Mathis Thermotester

• Preparation of master batches (dry blend )

• Was involved in a major basic research project for the discovery of novel co-stabilisers
