Asst. Researcher – ALLEGRO, Competence Center eLearning.

Focuses on the development of new techniques for foreign language learning. It is a collaboration of the 'Computational Linguistics' department - Saarland University, Competence Center eLearning -DFKI, INRIA – Nancy and Supelec – Metz.

Responsibilities:

Project ALLEGRO framework is based on 3 levels, which are further divided into Agents. I was responsible for the semantic modeling of the Agents.

Assisted in developing the level 1 – Intelligent Tutoring Agent and level 2 – Allegro Model in Java.

Developed the SCORM api for the Tutoring System – ILLIAS, which communicates states, session information, learner objects, etc., to ILLIAS.

Tested the SCORM api against the Tutoring System by developing a communication session applet.

Assisted in modeling the interfaces of the other 3 components with ILLIAS, that included semantically modeling the exchange of information between components, and developing the interfaces in Java.

Assisted in the research in the semantic, content analysis of LMS multi-agent systems.

Modeling the multi-agent systems using RDF, OWL.

Software Programmer – Interactive Knowledge Stack

Its main focus is developing a technology platform for semantically enhanced content management system.

There is also an on-going research to create a prototype for using CMS in an Ambient User Interface environment. It uses RESTful services as a safe way of ensuring integration with existing CMSs.

Responsibilities:

Worked on the demonstration of CMS in an Ambient User Interface Environment, Bathroom.

Developed the device detection, integration components, of the system, which also contains the interfaces for device output/adjustment and device events that each integrated device will register in the OSGi environment and also interpreting the combination of users. Ex: User x has height 175 and stands 50cm left from the Kinect sensor to

broadcast that Anna is in front of the washing basin.

Assisted in developing the grammars for the situations in Ambient User environment, which are part of the Dialog-based Ambient Interaction Manager.

Created ontologies for: The situations, the devices representations, users, context ontology which includes user preferences for: music, events etc. SPARQL was used to access the relevant information from the code.

Also, assisted in the development of Semantic Editor feature: Widgets such as Calender, Google Maps, etc. using jquery and google rich snippets.

Assisted in converting the already available components to OSGi modules.
